Love him or hate him, since his tenure on Parks and Recreation, followed by his literal rocket to prominence in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, Chris Pratt has turn out to be one thing of a staple action hero within the years since.
With James Gunn’s DC Universe slate lastly out for the world to digest, naturally folks are going to city with fancasting numerous actors in the plethora of new roles that DC’s upcoming projects will open up.
Seeing as Gunn and Pratt have previously collaborated prior to now, it doesn’t seem too far-fetched for the Jurassic World: Dominion star to find a place within the mostly-rebooted DC Universe. One piece of fan artwork has illustrated just the place the star might fit:
Of course, Booster Gold was confirmed by Gunn to be one of many many characters coming to the brand new DC Universe, and is getting his personal self-titled TV series, so u/clutchkweku’s month-old publish on the r/Fancast subreddit turned out to be slightly clairvoyant. To recap, here’s how Gunn described the character:
“He is an interesting guy. He’s a loser from the lengthy run who makes use of future know-how to come back to current day and become a superhero so that folks will love him. It is basically the superhero story of impostor syndrome on an HBO Max collection.”
Certainly sounds like the kind of character that might fall inside Pratt’s wheelhouse, provided that the actor seems to play it quite safe. After all, he appears to have barely deviated from his personal natural voice for his function in The Super Mario Bros. Movie.
Whether he ends up taking part in Booster Gold, or another person entirely, it’s looking probably that Pratt will make his method into the DC Universe in a method or one other, seeing as Gunn has already admitted his intentions to deliver him in.
