Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], January 23 (ANI): Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has praised PM Narendra Modi for his latest remarks cautioning BJP leaders from making unnecessary feedback on motion pictures and personalities.
On Sunday, during the trailer launch of his newest movie ‘Selfiee’ in Mumbai, when the actor was asked about his views on PM Modi’s assertion, he mentioned, “Positivity is all the time welcome. And of our Prime Minister is saying one thing like this. He is India’s largest influencer. If he’s saying one thing and if things change it’s going to be nice for the trade. And why not, things should change, as a outcome of we go through so much.”
“We make movies, go to the Censor Board, get them handed and then somebody says one thing and phir gadbad ho jati hai (it turns into messy). But now that he is said it, I think it’ll be better for us,” he added.
Helmed by Raj Mehta, the movie brings Akshay and Emraan Hashmi collectively on display for the primary time. Nushraatt Bharuccha and Diana Penty would be the feminine leads within the film.
The film’s three-minute-long trailer showcased Emraan taking half in a cop, who wishes to have a selfie together with his favorite actor Vijay (played by Akshay).
‘Selfiee’ is the official Hindi remake of the Malayalam movie ‘Driving License’, which starred Prithviraj and Suraj Venjaramoodu in lead roles.
Akshay, however, may also be seen in ‘OMG: Oh My God 2’, in an motion thriller film ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ alongside Tiger Shroff and in the official Hindi remake of the Tamil film ‘Soorarai Pottru’. (ANI)
